The last time you and I spoke through WeeklyAction was on October 1st, 2021. That is precisely three months, and three days ago. Outrageous. It has been one of the most difficult and most blissful periods of my life, and I am sorry for leaving you high and dry during this time.
If you are up for it, let’s give it another go? Whenever there is a problem in a relationship, I think that the best thing to do is to start with a technique known as the “Clearing Session”.
It is simple. You let me know what has NOT been working for you in our #WeeklyAction relationship, and then you also share what HAS been working for you. Just hit reply to this e-mail, or leave a public comment.
I will do the same.
After collecting the feedback, I will send out the first installment of 2022 by Friday the 7th, focusing on setting the right path for the future.
P.S. If you want to learn more about the clearing technique, feel free to ping me on Discord/Telegram or to read more about it here.
😥 What Is Not Working For Me
The fixed format. Although it creates clarity and readability - it limits my creativity. Sometimes, I want to simply share an insight I have learned or to talk about the book I have been reading.
Not knowing if it is of use to you. The open rates of the newsletter are around 40%, which tells me that people are indeed reading it, but that is about the extent of what I know as to its usefulness, and whether it is actually working for you.
The weekly format. Self-development is tough, and sometimes it is difficult to implement a single new thing in a year, and here we are trying to experiment every single week. Doing so is also potentially dangerous, as I have outlined in my blog post here.
Text-only. If you know me, you know that I love live discussions, as this is where some of the best ideas are born. When, in the heat of the moment, you are put against the wall with a tough question.
😃 What Is Working For Me
You. The fact that you are here, reading this - means the world to me. No, I am not over-exagerrating. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Whenever any one of you tells me that a blog post has helped them even a tiny little weeny bit - I am always on the verge of crying.
Creativity. The newsletter is a chance for me to express myself fully. It gives me an opportunity to dig deep down, and to see what is there.
The search for wisdom. If I am to share insights weekly, I must be getting insights daily (just so that I can pick some that are actually any good), thus running a newsletter puts me on a path of accountability in front of you and myself. This leads me to books, guides, and action.
The community. Doing the meetups, talking to people about their issues, and trying to help one another is a magnificent opportunity.
Giving back. Nothing I share is purely my own, all the information comes from a countless number of teachers, books, and workshops. Having a chance to share it with others definitely works for me.
How about you?
We Need To Talk
First time I actually read the entire newsletter. I liked the headline and I enjoyed the content, I think it's very honest and authentic. And I will definetly implement this clearing sessions method in the future. Curious about the upcoming topics!
